The only thing better than online shopping is scrolling down to the genius reviews kindly left by previous customers.
Some are very helpful, and some are very bizarre – like the person who only gave The Wolf of Wall Street a one star rating on Amazon because “there were no wolves in the movie”.
But one mum may have found the strangest review yet, left for a packet of Asda’s 400g wafer thin honey roast ham, priced at £1.85.
She shared her discovery on Facebook after browsing through reviews for the ham, which currently boasts a three-and-a-half star rating, saying: “Just doing my food shop. And this review I spat my drink out.”
The shopper only identified as Carol69 wrote: “Husband said f***y looks like ham, guess I’m divorcing him!!! But got him this so he can remember me :).”
Carol69 had simply titled the review ‘flappy flaps’ and gave it five stars – although it appears to now have been removed from the website.
It was shared with the 97,000 members of The Motherload Community & Podcast Facebook group, leaving others equally stunned, as reported by Metro.
One was a little put off their sandwich, writing: “I’ve got this ham for my lunch this week, not sure I can eat it now.”
And another simple replied: “Omg that’s great.”
Sadly Carol69 never provided an update to let us know how the gift went down with her husband – or if their relationship survived.
It’s not the first time an X-rated review has attracted attention online, after a feedback for a sex toy on Amazon warned men they’ll “need to wear riot gear”.
The author said it had worked so well for his partner she had kicked him in the jaw, sending him flying into a radiator and leaving his girlfriend “worried she had killed me”.
